Diploma to degree

Two years at Camosun can prepare you for further post-secondary studies in a broad range of academic streams.

The Diploma in Arts and Science Studies may lead you directly into a specific program or degree at another institution. If you are headed to UVic, you cancomplete your first two years of university studyat Camosun. OurAcademic Advisingdepartment can help you to choose the right courses for transfer into third-year studies at UVic or at many other institutions. This diploma can also lead to a to Royal Roads University'sDz.*

If you decide not to pursue a degree, the Diploma in Arts and Science Studies isa useful addition to your résumé, as many employers look for successful completion of two years of post-secondary education.

Work experience

During your Diploma in Arts and Science Studies, you can take aCo-op or Internship optionto complement your studies.

You will gainpractical work experience, which may be paid or unpaid, through either one four-month internship or two co-op work terms. You can take your work term after you have completed at least eight courses in the program.

Explore your educational interests

Chart your own course with the highly flexible Diploma in Arts and Science Studies. Choose a wide variety of courses, specialize in one area or take an optional work term to complement your education.

Years 1 and 2

To complete this diploma program, you will take a total of 20 courses at the 100-level or higher.

Optional work terms

After you have completed at least eight courses, you can choose to complement your diploma with two co-op work terms or an internship.
